Oxford’s festival of fashion is ready for an encore:

Fashionists will have one last chance to enjoy the glamour of Oxford Fashion Week after seven days of festivities drew to a close.
The “encore” Style Show will be held at Oxford Town Hall on March 19 with proceeds going to charity Macmillan Cancer Support.
Back-to-back runway shows will feature hundreds of designs.
The February 28 – March 6 week of fashion drew to a close at Saturday’s Couture show at the University of Oxford Examination Schools in High Street.
Featured designers included Valentin Yudashkin, Matthew Williamson, Temperley and Nicole Fahri, and cash raised will go to the Oxford Thinking Campaign, a £1.25bn fundraising campaign for the university.
An auction included items such as a prized Alexander McQueen bag worth £600 and a £6,000 dress.
More than 1,500 people attended the week of events, which took place at venues across the city. Organiser Carl Anglim said: “It has been fantastic. It has been the best week we have produced.
“The number of visitors is the most we have ever seen and we still have the Oxford Style Show, so we are not done yet.”
